Reception

There are two main components of your wedding day, as far as your guests are concerned, and those are the ceremony and the reception. There are other important parts of the wedding that you will have to be concerned about, including photographs, the honeymoon, and so on, but as far as public participation goes, those are the two areas that matter most. As a result, most brides and grooms put the most emphasis, and become most stressed, over the details involved with the ceremony and reception.

The good thing about the reception is that of the two, it is the component that usually proves to be the least stressful. Everyone wants their ceremony to be perfect; it is the closest thing to sacred that many of us will experience in our lives. The reception, on the other hand, is a lot more relaxed in terms of atmosphere; there is a sense of celebration and of having the biggest part of the day out of the way. This is the time when the married couple can start celebrating their life together, dreaming about searching through Roncesvalles homes for their dream home and guests can start hinting on when they'll be cashing in on children's fitness tax credits for soccer practices and dance lessons.

That said, no one can afford to be lax when it comes to the preparation for your Ontario wedding reception. There will be as much planning put into this part of the day as there is in any other. In fact, you might find that there are more details to worry about when putting together your wedding reception than there are with the ceremony. After all, most ceremonies will be dictated by a person who is legally recognized. Receptions, on the other hand, are all about reflecting the personal tastes of the couple and entertaining their guests. Receptions also tend to go a lot longer than ceremonies, which means you have to worry about several different areas, including catering, entertainment, whether you want an intimate reception in Leaside or a huge party in the backyard of a luxury real estate in Toronto, and decorations.

The purpose behind the articles we will be posting to this section of our site is to help brides and grooms streamline the planning process for their receptions as much as possible. We do not intend to plan out your whole wedding for you (although if you are looking for someone to help you out we can certainly accommodate the wish; we love touting the services of a good event planner). What we want is to provide you with answers to any questions you might have when it comes to planning and implementing your reception so that the process is as stress free and the reception as fun as you had always hoped it would be. We can even suggest a caregiver Canada parents rave about to look after all the kids while their parents unwind.

We think that the information we have in the articles will also help most brides and grooms figure out just what they want in their own wedding reception. This is the part of the day that will have the greatest personal brand and will probably stick out the most in the minds of your guests, so it is great to have ideas coming from as many sources as possible. We will take a look at some ideas that work in a reception and some that don't, with information on why, if possible.

From Toronto event catering to DJ services, planning stages to the big day itself, you will find everything you want on receptions in this section of our site. It's going to be a party and it is worth planning for, and we can get you started on the right foot.
